Rules and regulations
Classic Pools is the longest-running football betting game in the world – first established in 1923.There are over 100,000 players in every Classic Pools competition – some are playing by skill, but most are playing by Quick Pick or with a standard set of numbers – a bit like a lottery ticket.
Is a twice a week game. In rare circumstances, it can be thrice or four times a week.
There are multiple ways to play Classic Pools, but the most popular is ‘Pick 10’, which costs Rs 75 per entry.
As the name suggests, ‘Pick 10’ requires you to select ten matches/numbers from the list of 49.
‘Pick 11’ requires you to select 11 matches/numbers from the list of 49 which costs Rs 205.
‘Pick 12’ requires you to select 12 matches/numbers from the list of 49 which costs Rs 560.
Pick 10 or 11 or 12 matches from the 49 preselected matches that you think will end in a scored draw (1-1, 2-2, 3-3, etc.)
Points are awarded based on the results of the match to determine the winner and the amount of their winnings.
POINTS SYSTEM
The match result is a Scored Draw (e.g. 1-1, 2-2, 3-3 etc.) = 3 POINTS
The match result is a goalless draw (e.g. 0-0) = 2 POINTS
Match result is a Home or Away win (e.g. 2-1, 1-2, 1-0, 0-3) = 1 POINT
Your 8 best scores from your selections are used to calculate your final score.
The maximum number of points possible is 24 (8*3pts), which guarantees the biggest prize in the prize pool. Players with the highest scores win in the prize pool.
The amount of prizes (dividends) will depend on the number of draws where both teams drew on all 49 matches, and the performances of the other players.
Prize:
(i) There are £3 million to be won in EVERY Classic Pools game!
Condition: If only 9 of the 49 shortlisted matches ended in a scored draw and you have selected those 9 matches, you will win the £3 million (shared in case of multiple winners). Incomplete Match Listings and Pools Panel Results
In the event there are 44 Results or fewer on a Match Listing which derive from Matches actually played to full time on their scheduled date this Promotion shall be null and void and no payment shall be made in respect of the “Win £3 Million Prize”.
(ii) Super 8 Jackpot
If you correctly predict 8 Scored Draws when there are only 8 Scored Draws on the coupon, you will win the Super 8 jackpot (shared in the event of multiple winners).
If the Super 8 jackpot prize fund exceeds £250,000, it will be paid out to any customer correctly predicting 8 Scored Draws when there are 8 or 9 Score Draws on the coupon.
For the avoidance of doubt, in the event the Super 8 Jackpot is not won in any Game, it shall roll into the following Game until it is won
(iii) Other Prize:
– Second highest number of points that is achieved by one or more Entries in any Game on a Match Listing but excluding 24 points where the 1st prize is won.
– Third highest number of points that is achieved by one or more Entries in any Game on a Match Listing achieved, but excluding 23 points where the 1st prize is won.
For the avoidance of doubt, the 2nd and 3rd Classic Prize funds may paid out at a lower number of points than the maximum possible number of points in the event of a Game where no entry achieves the maximum number of points. (2nd and 3rd Classic prize can be paid to 22 & 21 points or lower)
PRIZE FOR HAVING EXCEEDED AT LEAST 20 POINTS AND NOT HAVING WIN THE FIRST OR SECOND PRIZE (NEAR MISS)
If you score 20 points or more on ANY game during the month, you will be entered into our “NEAR MISS” drawing where thousands of cash prize winners are declared. Between £8000 and £10,000 is paid every month as a consolation prize.
DIVISION OF POOLS
TFP may at its discretion take a percentage up to 25% from the total Prize fund for each Game to fund Monthly Prizes awarded.
The remaining fund available after collecting the monthly prize fund is then divided amongst all winning Entries at that level in proportion to Stakes paid
If any dividend is less than £5, TFP may decide for administrative reasons that the relevant dividend should not be paid. If no dividends whatsoever are declared for the Pool, the Game will be declared void and the Customer’s Stake will be refunded or, where possible (at TFP’s discretion), applied in full or in part as an Entry on behalf of the relevant Customer into the next Game.
Void Match Outcomes
If a Match is abandoned, TFP will use the score at the time of abandonment as the Full Time Result.
If the Match is restarted and completed in its entirety within the applicable Game Date of the Game, TFP will use the score declared by the official governing body in respect of such Match.
If a match is not completed in its entirety within the applicable Game Date of the Game, the match will be declared as void.
Any void match will either be given two points by default, or the match outcomes may be declared by a pools panel.
- A group of experts appointed by TFP to determine the Results of Matches that do not start on the Game Date set out in the relevant Match Listing.
RULE AMENDMENTS
Any amendment to these Rules will be notified online at the Website. A Customer’s continued participation in the Game following such notification shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of the amended Rules.
